Happy New Year!

The CRCPRA planning committee would like to wish all the preserve users a Happy New Year! The preserve will be a BUSY place in 2024! Here are some of the upcoming events:

Winter Fun Day, Saturday February 3rd, 1-4pm. Snowshoeing, bonfire, s’mores and hot cocoa, winter ecology hike and much more! Snowshoes will be available to use, let’s hope for some snow! We are partnering again this year with Landmark Conservancy for this activity. Registration (to help us plan) is available on Landmark’s website. New Fishing Pier to be installed in February! Our new 46′ Handicap Accessible Fishing Pier will become reality this winter. This permanent structure is being build by Anderson Bridges of Colfax. The Pier will be a steel structure with a treated wood deck and railings. It will be approximately 3′ above the water, will have a 40’x6′ approach and a 32’x6′ T-shaped fishing platform.

Science Exploration Day set for Saturday May 18! This very popular event will be back in 2024. Come learn about pond ecosystems, wildflowers, ecology and rocks and minerals. Learners of all ages are welcome to participate. Lunch included! More information to come soon!
